Background of the Study
Adaptive learning is an educational technology that personalizes the learning experience based on individual student needs, learning styles, and performance. Modibbo Adama University, Yola, Adamawa State, like many universities, faces challenges in providing personalized learning pathways for its diverse student population. AI-based adaptive learning systems offer an opportunity to address these challenges by dynamically adjusting course content and assessments based on students' progress and learning patterns. This study aims to develop an AI-based student adaptive learning pathway system that supports personalized learning for students at Modibbo Adama University.
Statement of the Problem
At Modibbo Adama University, many students face difficulties in mastering course content due to one-size-fits-all teaching methods and a lack of personalized learning experiences. Traditional methods do not account for individual differences in learning speed, comprehension, or study habits, which can hinder student success. The development of an AI-based adaptive learning pathway system could provide personalized recommendations and learning materials, improving the learning outcomes for students. However, there is limited research on the implementation and effectiveness of such systems in university settings.
Objectives of the Study
